Christopher Nolan comienza a filmar Interstellar

Warner Brothers y Paramount Pictures anunciaron que Chtistopher Nolan (The Dark Knight, Inception) ya empezó a grabar la fotografía principal de Interstellar en Alberta, Canadá. El comunicado de prensa confirma todo el elenco y además añade un corto resumen de la historia:

“El nuevo libreto cuenta la historia de un grupo de exploradores que usan un recién descubierto “agujero de gusano” que sobrepasa las limitaciones del viaje espacial humano y conquista las grandes distancias envueltas un viaje inter estelar.”

Parece que Nolan quería a todo el mundo y a su abuela en este filme, porque la cantidad de talento es impresionante: Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Bill Irwin, John Lithgow, Casey Affleck, David Gyasi, Wes Bentley, Mackenzie Foy, Timothée Chalamet, Topher Grace, David Oyelowo y Michael Caine.

Tan importante como que esta frente a la cámara, es el que está detrás y Nolan también trajo su combo aunque, con algunas diferencias ya que el cinematógrafo de siempre, Wally Pfister está haciendo su propio filme así que ahora tiene a Hoyte van Hoytema (Tinker Taylor Soldier Spy) mientras que Hans Zimmer volverá con su magia en la banda sonora.

Interstellar llega a los cines el 7 de Noviembre del 2014.

Paramount Pictures, a division of Viacom, Inc., and Warner Bros. Pictures announced today that principal photography on “INTERSTELLAR” is officially underway in Alberta, Canada. The film will be released in IMAX® and 35mm theaters on November 7, 2014. Paramount Pictures will distribute domestically, Warner Bros. Pictures internationally.

Directed and co-written by Christopher Nolan (“Inception,” “The Dark Knight” Trilogy), the production will travel the globe and utilize a mixture of 35mm anamorphic and IMAX film photography to bring to the screen a script based on the combination of an original idea by Nolan and an existing script by Jonathan Nolan, originally developed for Paramount Pictures and producer Lynda Obst. The new script chronicles the adventures of a group of explorers who make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage.

Renowned theoretical physicist Kip Thorne is consulting on the film as well as serving as executive producer, along with Jake Myers (“Jack Reacher,” “RED,” “RED 2”) and Jordan Goldberg (“Inception,” “The Dark Knight” Trilogy).
